As a pediatric therapist, you will be expected to treat a variety of problems in childern and infants both in-patient and out-patient. These problems consist of congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, skeletal, or acquired disorders and diseases. Treating children with cerebral palsy or spina bifida could be a challenge so make sure you are up for the task. Your main task will be to refine motor skills and coordination in children.

A strong base in your sciences will once again be a major benefit. Communications skills are also important as this career has the most interactions with people. Consulting with other doctors, informing children and their parents about the childs disease or instructing educational professionals on how best to take care of the child, you need to be able to talk with people. The annual salary for this job is 72,000 dollars.

The expected job outlook is a growth between 23 and 27% by the year 2016.
