| Neurological Physical Therapy<<Previous Page::Next Page>>Neurological physical therapists work with more patients that have debilitating or serious disorders, like Alzheimer's disease, ALS, brain injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury, and strokes. Be prepared to see many different disorders, and be expected to be able to provide solutions to ease your patient’s pain and to improve areas of dysfunction. These areas can range from paralysis to loss of independence. Your schooling should be close to the same as geriatric physical therapists, as you deal with some of the same problems. As a neurological therapist, you will often aid geriatric therapists in treating their patients. Again, human physiology and anatomy, organic chemistry, general chemistry, and anatomical kinesiology and biology will help greatly. The salary for this career is 71,000 dollars a year. It is expected to grow 22% by the year 2018 <<Previous Page::Next Page>> | |
